Aurender S10 was graciously reviewed, and on top of that, was honored to receive the Editor’s Choice by the folks at Hi-Fi News, the longest serving high-end audio magazine in the world, reviewing audio products since 1956.
Their three-page review covered all aspects of our product, ranging from its hardware to the iPad control. Naming the section “Strong but Silent”, the reviewer marvels at the Aurender’s build quality, remarking that the “real beauty is that the Aurender is simply a ‘transport’ “.
The reviewer mentions that the Aurender S10 is ideally a straight-forward system, but in reality needs a bit of computer working to copy the music files to Aurender.
Once that job was done, though, he describes the “attractively designed” Conductor App to be “fairly intuitive”.
However, as expected from a hi-fi magazine, the most emphasized topic was the product’s sound quality, and Aurender S10 didn’t fail to impress them. A whole page was dedicated into describing the “simply delicous” and “absolutely stellar” music he was listening to. The reviewer doesn’t stop at just that. Stating “as if Chord DAC was now being allowed to reach its full potential”, the reviewer is constantly astonished by the difference in sound quality that a single music server is making, thus reinforcing the statement he had written earlier: “in the best audiophile tradition, nothing should be taken for granted”. He concludes the review with more technical data. Remarking,
“I don’t believe my system has ever sounded this good”
the reviewer simply praised its sound quality.
The review is included in the upcoming December issue of Hi-Fi News magazine, so check it out if you see one at a bookstore! However, the PDF file of the Aurender S10 review is exclusively available for download in the link below!
